Friday it was 80 degrees for the high. Today, it was 40. And tonight it’s supposed to be 25! You know, I could deal with this much easier if the weather would stay consistent. But this hot / cold / hot / cold thing is really really getting old.
We stayed indoors most of the day. I got a lot done so I feel like I accomplished something. However, it wasn’t stuff I WANTED to do. More like HAD to do. Got more entries on the contest and had to find some that had paid but were still missing in action. Then I had to log, check and double check that I’ve received the entries and placed them in the correct category (hey, I’m human, I still make mistakes).
Then I worked on the website. I coded the registration form for the workshop page. Of course, I can’t make it work yet. That’s a little beyond my skills. ๐ I got the pages done, though, and sent off to Man/IT so he can work his magic on it.
And after that… I started picking and booking workshops. I’ve got three confirmed so far and several more emails out. We’ll be booked solid for the year and probably into next year, which is always lovely. I think this gig is going to work out GREAT. Okay, so I’m being optimistic. I’m sure there are some kinks I haven’t expected yet but we’ll work it out as we go. I am very much looking forward to seeing how this goes.
I did take a break this evening, though, and had a rousing game of Battleship with the kiddo (he beat me by one torpedo). Then we went to Blockbuster and rented a couple of movies for him. Came home, cooked dinner, and then it was back to work on the website/contest/workshops. I’m officially sick of sitting in this chair staring at the monitor. ๐
Tomorrow morning, it’s off to the grocery store and then I have to take the kiddo for a much-needed hair cut. While I’m at the mall, I’m going to swing by Sears and pick up a new filter for the fridge and then I have to run by the post office and mail something. So it looks like tomorrow is Errand Day. And it’s going to still be cold like it was today.
Stay warm, ya’ll!
P.S. The Rome wordmeter moved!
