This week has been a total and utter beating. So to say that I’m happy it’s Friday would be a gross understatement.
I’m ecstatic it’s Friday! :woohoo:
After complaining to myself and others about my writing frustrations, I got hit with a reality check I needed. The advice: Finish it! I was struggling with the revision of MAGIC and lamenting the fact that it wasn’t done and there was no fire left for that particular story. But – it IS on submission at Harlequin and it would be stupid NOT to finish the rewrite. Especially when there’s a chance the full could be requested.
So you know what? I buckled down and I got it finished. The rewrite is DONE! There is still some tweaking I need to do but other than that – the whole story is once again back together. I needed a little extra push to do it for whatever reason.
Oh, and I wrote another two pages yesterday too on a new story.
I was hurting yesterday since I had consume 10 ounces of Cosmos all by my lonesome the night before. I had a bit of a hangover which hasn’t happened in quite some time. It might have been because I didn’t eat much dinner, so there wasn’t a lot to absorb all that alcohol. So yesterday, my head was about to split into (or so it felt) and the second I walked in the door at the office – wishing for a very large strong cup of coffee – the broad was right there jumping up from her desk and pouncing with her self-induced problem. I wanted to :yelling: because I was in desperate need of two things: silence and coffee.
So I told her to wait until IT got in because it wasn’t that big of an issue and he could definitely fix her problem. Instead, she caused an uproar of massive proportions. :dead:
Meanwhile, I made my coffee and drank three huge cups before I started to feel somewhat human. Anyway, the rest of the day was a beating. I was exhausted by the time I had collected my child and got home. I even cooked dinner.
And coveted a pair of lime green strappy sandals from Manolo Blahnik on eBay. I watched and watched the auction. But, alas, I did not purchase them (even though they were only $280!). I was a good girl.
Instead I went to B&N and spent money on some mini-books. Oh and the Sexual Innuendo Magnetic Poetry which gave me great pleasure standing in front of the fridge putting together naughty phrases. :hehe:
Allrighty – I’m off to get more coffee. :coffee:
Happy Friday everyone!
I am so proud of you!
Good for you for sticking up to her – I’ve worked with leeches here and there, and they can suck the life right out of you if you are not careful!
Congrats on finishing the rewrite. I know what a big accomplishment that is, especially with Magic. Oh, and I checked out The Collective You – loved it! I’m going to nominate someone for UWPs.
