There are several things I want to do this year. I don’t call the resolutions. Instead, I’m calling them life-altering decisions. π Some of them are nothing major. For instance, I want to stop leaving clothes on the floor every night on my side of the bed. I know, this sounds elementary. But I got into really bad habits last year about doing this. So THIS year, I endeavor to do better. That and keep the clutter at bay. This is a difficult task for me since I’m a clutter-bug. I love my piles of paper! Man assisted by giving me a new recipe book and I’m nearly done putting all the recipes into the book. That is, the ones that were loose paper. Now I have to go through my stacks of cooking magazines. π
Now that we’re well into the new year and I’m starting to get back to normal life (which is kind of drag, to be honest), I feel like the fog is lifting from my head. I’m back into the writing groove, sort of. I read through all 180 pages of my WIP and now I’m ready to make the changes and get back to writing. But first: I want to write a detailed synopsis. This is another thing I’ve told myself I’m going to change for this year.
And now I’m out of time! Got to get the kid off to school and me to work. I’m so happy it’s Friday!
The more you keep in that writing groove, the easier it will be.
Ditto what Devon said. It’s easier to “be” in the groove when you “stay” in the groove. π
IF that makes sense…
