I had a bang-up day yesterday. I wrote just over 2700 words on the time travel and then started a new novella due September 1. Yeah, I know it’s mid-July but I think I can get it knocked out in a couple of works. I wrote 769 on that. The new novella is a Chistmas story for one of my publishers and the length has to be between 10,000-40,000 so I’m pretty sure I can get it done. I have a decent beginning and a fairly good idea where I want to the story to go so I’m going to try really hard to get it written and turned in by then.
The time travel is going well, actually. I’ve busted the 40k mark and I’m shooting for about 80-85k. This is the first in a series that I’m tenatively calling “Knight In Shining Armour” series. The story is a lot of fun and my heroine is pretty spunky. But she needs more screen time with the hero! I’m really concerned about that though the story doesn’t exactly feel lacking. At least not yet. My heroine is a do-gooder. She wants to help people and she likes to be needed. So she’s got her hands into several things. I think I have about three subplots going on. A couple of them will go into books of their own. At least, that’s my hope.
Not much else going on other than I’ve been a writing fiend lately. Really trying to keep writing every day and stay focused on that.
We’re fast approaching the middle of the month. I’ll be leaving for my trip in less than two weeks! I can’t believe it’s here already. This is another year that’s flying by. Make it stop! I have much to do and not nearly enough time!
Good for you on the writing progress!
