The weekend went by really fast. And it was super cold on Saturday. Yesterday wasn’t too bad. We actually got out and did stuff.
Got the grocery shopping done and it was relatively painless. Walmart had City of Ember on DVD. We missed it at the movies and it looked really cool so I bought the movie. We haven’t had a chance to watch it yet. It the movie about the underground society and the two kids who figure out a way to the surface. It has Tim Robbins and Bill Murray in it.
I took the kiddo for a hair cut at the salon. He said, “Since I was good, can I have a pretzel?” We were on our way to Sears to get a filter for the fridge. He broke me down with that one sentence, so I stopped at Auntie Anne’s and got him a giant cinnamon pretzel. He ate every bite (and made a mess doing it).
On the way home he said, “Mom, do you know what I had to go through to get on Fusion Fall?” Fusion Fall, he says, is a website that has games. But these very statement made me chuckle. He’s so grown up sometimes.
By 9 pm yesterday, I was wiped out. I shut the computer down (shocking!), vegged in front of the TV for a bit and then went to bed. I had a bad night’s sleep. Tossing and turning. I hate those nights.
And now it’s time to get to school/work. I would so love to hang around today and do not much of anything.
Short, boring post today. I can’t believe it’s the last week of January already!
