I’m at Pop Culture Divas today talking about hot men! Come on by!
Friday was one of those days where I grumpiness was the order of the day. 😀 I got it all out of my system by noon, though, and it was back to usual. Man and I went to lunch (Catina Laredo – YUM).
I got home that night and worked on the contest, logging in as many entries as I could to get caught up. But then, suddenly, I just threw my hands up and said, “ENOUGH!” and told Man I wanted to get out of the house. We ended up at the movies. We saw Couples Retreat which was actually kind of stupid but it was good for a few laughs. I think the people-watching while we waited for the movie to start was the most fun.
Saturday morning I had to get up early for my half a day retreat with my local RWA chapter. We got together and, as usual, had way too much food! We stuffed ourselves silly on breakfast goods and then had a great workshop with Vickie Taylor who talked about plotting. Then we all went to lunch and stuffed ourselves silly again. By the time we got back, we’d decided we had enough and packed up for the day. I actually made it to the kiddo’s afternoon soccer game. I froze my bum off on the cold bleachers but the boys played hard and they won. Picked up the soccer pics from the ex. The pictures came out cute!
Man was out with his daughter Saturday, so by the time I got home, I had the house to myself. I sat and worked on the contest until he got home and then we hung out on the sofa watching Grey’s Anatomy. Finally crawled into bed but he stayed up and read until 4 am.
Which meant he slept in on Sunday while I got up, made coffee, started laundry, worked on the contest, filed, organized, threw stuff away… by the time he got up the house was clean. 😀 I was super productive.
We ran errands Sunday, watched the Cowboys win in Overtime, at lunch at Wing Stop. I think I’ve had enough bad food to last the week, now. Sunday night was calm and casual. And cool! We got more rain. Boo. The yard is in desperate need of mowing. Oh well. I guess it’ll stop raining some day.
And that’s about it! So I had a nice weekend. Made up for the grumpy Friday. 🙂
