Last week it was 80 degrees and this week we’re going to have ice? WTF?
At the time of this writing, the weathermen have predicted ice and freezing rain. The high – the HIGH! – for the day is 28 degrees. This weather is weird.
I figured if it was going to ice, I can get some work done. I bought my work computer and a pile of work home. That way I can get my hours in and Iwon’t have to burn vacation time. It’s nice to have a laptop. Plus I can connect to the network via VPN. Which rocks.
I got a lot of work down on the workshops/contest last night. I feel very accomplished. However, my neck and wrist are hurting from sitting at the computer so much. Ah, but it must be done. Right? So far, we have over 100 entries. Not a bad haul, really. I don’ t have nearly enough judges, though, so I’m begging. Groveling, actually. It’s very unbecoming. ๐
I also got a smattering of work done on Rome yesterday, too. I had this grand idea and so I finished another scene. I am still aiming for February 1. Hopefully I can make it.
And that’s it for me. Wrist is hurting; butt is hurting; neck is hurting.
According to our weather man, you’re getting hit badly by an ice storm today; hope it’s not as bad as they think, and hope you can stay home and work from home.
Have you ever tried Arnica cream or Tiger’s balm on the hurting wrist and neck? I’ve found it helps. Also, hot water bottles on the neck, yoga stretches. Downward dog makes the wrist feel worse, so avoid that one.
I am so amazed by you–YOU GO!! Sorry about the aches and pains. I would go for a nice long hot soak in the tub, too.
GO MIK!!!
sorry about the aches. I have the same with my elbow and shoulder lately. I think it’s the weather. Oh I love VPN too. Going to get on it in a few to finish out the day. ๐
