One Year Beyond the Page

One year ago today, I launched Miles Beyond the Page with a simple but powerful idea: to talk about the real stories behind the books.

Not just polished success stories—but the winding paths, the pivots, the doubts, the risks, and the moments of bravery it takes to keep showing up as a creative.

I didn’t know exactly what the podcast would become. I just knew I wanted space for honest conversation.

What This First Year Has Meant

Over the past year, I’ve had the privilege of sitting down with authors at every stage of their careers—bestsellers, debut writers, hybrid and indie voices—all of them generous with their truth.

We’ve talked about:

  • Finding your voice (and losing it… then finding it again)

  • Navigating the publishing industry without losing your soul

  • Creativity, burnout, courage, and reinvention

  • What success actually looks like behind the scenes

And every single conversation has reminded me of this:
There is no single right way to be an author.

Why This Podcast Matters to Me

As a writer myself, I know how isolating this journey can feel. It’s easy to believe you’re the only one struggling, doubting, or wondering if you’re doing it “wrong.”

This podcast exists to push back against that narrative.

To remind you:

  • You’re not alone

  • Your path is valid

  • And your story—both on and off the page—matters

Thank You 💛

To every guest who trusted me with their story. To every listener who pressed play while walking, driving, writing, or dreaming. To every message, comment, and share that told me this podcast made a difference.

Thank you.

This first year has been about connection, curiosity, and courage—and I can’t wait to see where the next season takes us.

Here’s to another year of going beyond the page. ✨
