Progress Update: I did write yesterday but don’t know how much. I’ve nearly reached 19,000 total on the new book but I’m struggling. Too much going on right now I think.
May is hands-down the busiest month of the year for me. Field Day at the school is THIS Friday, which I’m volunteering for in the afternoon. Saturday I’m going to Mom’s to say hi and grill some burgers with Man and Kid in tow. Sunday is the final soccer game of the year with the end of year party afterward. And, oh yeah, Mother’s Day.
Next week is going to be CRAZY. We have our annual crawfish boil at the office on the 13th. Won’t be a party for me; I’ll be working the event. Friday and Saturday are chapter events – Friday being the “social” dinner for our honored guests (two editors and two speakers). Saturday is our annual luncheon where we announce winners in the contest. Sunday I will collapse. 🙂
Man’s birthday is May 20. My sister’s birthday is May 14. My dear friend’s birthday is May 17. The last day of school is May 28. And, oh yeah, I have a birthday on May 27 (trying to ignore that one…). Memorial Day! Don’t forget that!
In addition to ALL of these things going on, there were major floods in the deep south. Specifically in Tennessee. Well, guess what? RWA’s National conference was in Nashville at the Gaylord. Unfortunately, the Gaylord sustained major damage – 10 feet of water. So the conference was temporarily on hold while the board worked out what to do. They have since moved the conference to Orlando. I’ve already purchased my plane ticket but I’m sure (I hope) the airline will work with me.
Lest you think I’m heartless, my thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the flood waters. Here’s sending good thoughts for a speedy cleanup.
There are a LOT more things going on in my life at the moment. None of which I can divulge yet. 😀 It’s all good, though. And it’s all major!
I’ll leave you wondering what that is while I head off to work for the day. Have a jolly Thursday.
If the airline doesn’t name them publicly, so we know who else to put on our own personal “don’t fly” lists.
You’ve got a busy month!
MAY IS CRAZY!!!
Enjoy the ride!!!
Michelle – have not checked in on your blog (or mine for that matter, lol) in years! So, sorry I disappeared but so happy to see that things are going so well for you! Email me… we must chat… so much going on with me, too!
