I was honored to be asked to be a part of the Romance in Bonham this past weekend. I spent the afternoon with seven other authors and about 30-40 readers who came out to say hi and learn about us. On the panel with me was Vicki Batman, Carolyn Brown, Kathleen Baldwin, Tessa Gray, Suzanne Ferrell, Janis Susan May Patterson and Sabine Starr.
I confess I was terribly nervous. I’m not very good about talking in front of people but I did get to sit next to Sabine Starr and chat with her. It was great getting to know her. She has some lovely book covers and writes sexy cowboys.
We all share something in common – a love of libraries, books and writing.
And eating! The library board provided us a wonderful lunch with some really tasty dishes. There was this great garlic bread someone made in a bundt pan with frozen biscuits. I must find that recipe. There was also this corn salad with Fritos. I was in heaven because I love Fritos (and they are so bad for you).
And then I got home and sat on the couch at stared at the Olympics whilst I waited for The Man to get home (he was at work while I was at the library).
And speaking of the Olympics, I AM LOVING THEM. Ski jump and ice skating this weekend. Oh and the biathlon! Totally love that event.
I also spent about four hours fixing the glitches on my website. Apparently some of the plugins have decided to stop working. I hate when that happens.
So what did you do this weekend?
Hey, you know what I did because I was with you. I love speaking to groups and wish I could do more. I always worry that I rattle on too long, though. But you did say you liked my reading. Hugs.
Your reading was great! 🙂
