November 1. The beginning of the Season of Dark and the new year on the Celtic calendar.
Last night, we had a great time going trick-or-treating. Man actually walked with us (I think he was feeling protective) and the kiddo ended up with a bunch of candy. We got back to the house and handed out candy for another two hours. I used the fog machine and it worked fairly well. Not as well as I’d liked but it was only a 400 watt one. Maybe next year I’ll splurge for the 1000 watt one. 🙂
I went through the kid’s candy to make sure there wasn’t nothing unsavory in there. What I found was a full size can of Dr. Pepper and a bag of microwave popcorn. I thought that was hysterical.
I’m currently doing a read-through for a friend. It’s urban fantasy and it’s fabulous. I’d like to do NaNo this year but I don’t know if I can make the 50k word count by the end of the month. Maybe I’ll give it a try and draft the second book in my new series.
I had Tessa in a harness and leash last night, letting her come to the door with me to hand out candy. She was the Belle of the Ball! And she loved the attention. Iris and Violet hid, little princess divas that they are!
Tessa is EXHAUSTED today! 😉
