The kid climbed in bed with me at 7:30 and woke me up. I was sleeping like the dead too. And dreaming about something…but I can’t quite recall what it was.
Yesterday was a pretty hectic day at work. The boss came in and we had a great conversation and then a quick meeting. And then she decided she wanted to go to lunch with us before our big web conference at 2 pm.
She wanted to go to The Man’s restaurant for lunch. Which, you know, was completely fine with me. :) So since I have a Toll Tag and I knew we’d be driving on the Turnpike and the Tollway, I offered to drive. I called him and told him I was coming for lunch and to make reservations for four and then I made use of my lead foot and got us across town in record time.
I was happy to see him. (I’m pretty sure he was happy to see me too.)Â Since it was just after noon, we all knew we had to get back to downtown earlier than 2 to set up for the web meeting. They were lightning fast with their service – of course it helped that I have connections in that area too. 🙂 We were done and out of there just after 1 and to the office thirty minutes later.
The web meeting was informative and interesting and gave me a better grasp on what I need to do. I now have a plan of action.
Then it was drive back across town to the other office to drop off the boss and my coworker and then I was off to get the Sweetie Boy. Lots of driving. But it makes the time go if you have good conversation to and from.
We had a quiet evening at home together – the baby and me. I was so exhausted and I had a splitting headache. I just fixed an easy dinner and then let him have some computer time while I relaxed.
Talk to The Man on the phone late that night. Finally crashed shortly after midnight. Woke up to a freezing cold house. It’s in the lower 40s here.
I turned on the weather to see what it was going to do today and how to dress for the wedding. Turns out it’s colder HERE than in New York! What’s up with that? It’s only going to be about 50 degrees tops today. So I guess I’ll be bundling up me and the kiddo for another day of marathon driving.
At least I’m riding with my family and I’m looking forward to cutting up with Best Good Friend all the way there and all the way home. The baby and I are going to spend the night at Mom’s so I don’t have to drive back home late at tonight.
Guess I better get to it. I have a lot of things to get together before I leave.
Have fun on your drive! I’m so glad you got to see the Man. That should hold you over for a while!
We have been in the 50’s, but got a cold spell today. It’s 37 and feels like 26 with wind chill.
BRRRRRRR!!! Keep warm!
Enjoy the wedding.
