We had some severe storms roll through for several hours Tuesday night. It was pretty scary. We were under a tornado warning for three hours. There were several tornadoes in the area that touched down. We had a lot of rotation and straight line winds. Even a little bit of hail. We were the lucky ones, though. All the baseball size hail missed us as did the tornadoes.
This spring weather has been strange. I hate to say it but I think I’m just ready for summer to get here and stay. At least then we know there won’t be any thunderstorms or tornadoes.
I had some phone calls to make on Wednesday and do some paperwork. Once I got all that done, I started working on the projects I’d sort of left behind when I got laid off. I revisited by plotting templates for the second book in the Knight series I’ve been working on. I also managed to write 1300 words on the space opera. WOO!
Today, I’m off to the “living wax museum” at the school and then I’m going to head home and write until school is out. Tomorrow is the last day of school and a full day of parties for the kids. I decided, since I seem to have time on my hands, to volunteer at the school. No telling if I’ll be able to do it next year, his last year of elementary school. I figured I should do all the school volunteering while I can.
In the meantime, I’m sending out resumes, waiting to hear back (it’s worse than waiting to hear back from an editor I think. At least with that, I know I’ll eventually get a response of some sort). Speaking of that… I should be hearing about my latest submission in the next few weeks. Let’s hope it’s a positive response. I could really use a sale right now.
I was following your tweets about the storms. Scary stuff.
Good luck withe resumes and especially the submission.
Fingers crossed.
