I wrote my letter to Best Buy yesterday and put it in the mail this morning. I also submitted it to them on their “Contact Us” page as well as filed a complaint with the Fort Worth BBB. We’ll see what happens now. I’m sick of people who can’t be bothered to do their job.
In other news, I worked on the Rome book yesterday. I’m just going through and editing what I’ve already written so I can get back into the story and finish it. I’m trying to beef up the story line a little because it needs it.
While I was thinking about Rome, another story started to tug at me. It’s an urban fantasy. I quickly jotted down the notes about it so I wouldn’t forget. A lot of the pieces fell into place when I was talking to Man about it on the walk back from lunch yesterday. Funny how that works sometimes.
Last night, I did a lot of tweaking on the Sole Struck blog. I finally figured out why the text wasn’t wrapping right on the pictures. There was some wonky code in the stylesheet so I got rid of it. And, VOILA! The text wraps correctly now. I’m excited about blog and looking forward to re-launching onFebruary 1. I’ve been thinking about my post and I think I know just what I’ll write about (well, shoes, of course!).
I also backed up a lot of my files. I realized I hadn’t backed up ANY of my 2008 photographs so I did that. And cleaned up the hard drive a little. I feel so … organized.
The amount of stupidity lately has been astounding. It seems everywhere I go, there is some dumbass doing something ridiculous. It’s even plaguing me in email now. How hard is it to read directions and follow them? I don’t get it.
Ah well.
I get my new bed today! They’re supposed to deliver between 12:15 and 2:15. I hope this doesn’t beat me down like Best Buy did. If so, I’m sure I’ll be blogging about it tomorrow! 😉
Hopefully the new bed delivery will be a PLEASANT experience! Fingers crossed!
And NO STUPIDITY!!! I hate days filled with that…
Good luck with the bed!
With so many people out of work, hopefully these companies will start dumping useless employees and hiring the good ones.
