The husband kidnapped me on Saturday for a day trip. It was great! We were headed to Fredericksburg on a quest for bluebonnets (our state flower) and had a few stops along the way. One of them for PIE in Hico.
It was delicious! Then we went to the chocolate shop across the street and the hubby splurged on chocolate. I got a new coffee mug.
Then we continued on down the road and I had to stop and take this picture of this abandoned RV park with a stage. For someone, it sparked the imagination and all I could think about was what it must have looked like in its heyday.
We finally made it to Fredericksburg late in the afternoon but were so tired, we ended up heading right back out. On the outskirts of town, we stopped for a wine tasting at a local vineyard and came home with three bottles of wine. What can I say? I love my wine.
Afterward, we stopped for dinner in Marble Falls and stuffed ourselves silly. We still hadn’t see fields of bluebonnets until the husband took a wrong turn and TADA! We found some!
