#TuesdayTeaser for Feb 25, 2014

February 25, 2014 By Michelle

Guardians of Atlantis

It’s time for a weekly tease! Are you ready?

This month I’m celebrating the release of my latest! Today’s tease comes from my newly released Guardians of Atlantis Box Set. The Guardians box set is a set of three paranormal romance novellas: Tempting Eden, Seducing Eve and Ravishing Helene.

Where to buy:
Amazon | B&N | All Romance eBooks | Smashwords | iBooks | CreateSpace

And now here’s a little snippet from Ravishing Helene.

“Where are you going?”

“Away from you. From this…this insanity.”

“Stop, Helene.”

Hearing her name on his lips made her powerless to resist. She had to comply. Her feet stopped. Did he have some sort of spell on her? She looked at him over her shoulder.

“I promised Sabre I would bring you to him. I will not break that promise.”

“Yes, you will.”

He moved with such lightning speed she didn’t have time to react. His arm came up against her chest as he shoved her with brute force against the wall, pressing all his weight on her. Her breath caught in her throat as she stared, wide-eyed, into his dark eyes. She could see the flames of fury quickly change into flames of desire. She couldn’t help it—she ran her tongue over her bottom lip. His lips parted in a snarl as though trying to keep from kissing her.

“Go ahead. You know you want to.”

She couldn’t help but taunt him. He hadn’t moved an inch yet she could see the pounding vein standing out in the side of his neck. He emitted a low growl deep in his throat. Feeling the rumble through him sent wet heat to her core. Damn him. How had he managed to arouse her so much? Her gaze flickered from his eyes to his mouth. Perfectly shaped lips the color of cinnamon. His bottom lip had a slight indention in it and she had a sudden curiosity. What would he taste like? What would those lips feel like on hers? Would he kiss her with the wild passion she saw skittering through his eyes? Or something slower and softer?

“Kiss me, Raven.”

Her heart picked up the pace, throbbing madly against his chest and arm. Indecision flickered through his eyes but only for a moment before he crushed his mouth to hers. Oh, gods, yes that was exactly what she wanted. Wild. Passionate. Reckless. Their mouths devoured each other’s as though they couldn’t get enough. She couldn’t get enough.

His tongue dueled with hers in a frenzied pace. Each one trying to control the other. Raven would never allow her to control him but she tried. Oh, how she tried as she kissed him back like she had never kissed another. He had ignited some deep-fiery fervor inside her no one had ever come close to. Not even her husband.

Before she could think, her hands were in the long lengths of his hair. Silky strands like she never expected. Soft. So soft. She fisted the strands in both hands as she kissed him back, unable to stop the moan of sheer pleasure erupting from her throat.

And now here’s a little snippet from Seducing Eve.

Eve has been captured and is trying her best to break out of the lab. Lucian happens along just as she’s about to make a break for it.

Eve spun around ready to dash and ran into a brick wall. Strong hands gripped her to steady her. When she looked up, she met Lucian’s gaze. Oh, he felt as good as he looked but still, he was the enemy. And she had to get away.

“What are you—?”

She kneed him in the balls as hard as she could. And then guilt immediately washed over her. He grunted, doubled over and released her. She skittered around him while he was incapacitated and made it into the hallway. She heard Franco shout for him to go after her but she hoped he was in too much pain to obey immediately. Which way was out? None of the exits were marked. She dashed down the hallway toward a door. But Dr. Brice stepped in her path, blocking her way. And he held a gun pointed directly at her chest.

An alarm screeched through the lab. The sound was so deafening it nearly made her ears bleed.

She came to a jarring halt and turned back the other way. Lucian stumbled out of the exam room and blocked her other escape path. Boy, did he look pissed. His face creased in anger and pain. Their gazes meet and they stared at each other for a split second. Then he pulled his gun and pointed it toward Eve.

“Get down,” he growled.

She gasped and reacted at the same time, crouching to the floor as he fired off round after round. She covered her head hoping no stray bullets made it her way. A quick glance up and she saw the guns were not ones with bullets but some sort of ray gun. Green light flashed overhead. Lucian dove back into the exam room she’d just come from.

She stood, trying to decide which way to run.

Coward. He’d left her.

Shots exploded next to her, shattering the window. Glass rained down all around her. She squealed and jumped against the opposite wall, covering her face and head as glass tinkled to the tile floor. Somewhere in the lab, women screamed.

Brice had fired back at Lucian. And now she heard the booted footsteps running down the hall. A quick peek over her shoulder verified her suspicions. Brice headed right for her, gun in hand. He held it up, pointed it at her, ready to fire.

Lucian erupted from the exam room, his feet crunching on glass. He stood between her and Brice, firing off several rapid shots. The doctor ducked into a nearby room.

More glass shattered around her. And she was barefoot. Great. How was she going to get out of this one?

“Bring her to me, guardian,” Franco said. “So she can be dealt with accordingly.” He stood in the doorway of the exam room looking fierce and thoroughly unhappy. The syringe was gone from his shoulder.

Shit. She was going to die. This was it. And she hadn’t really lived yet. She hadn’t really done anything yet. She’d played it safe all her life and look where that got her. Nowhere.

Lucian glanced from Franco to her. She could see the indecision in his eyes. Brice had re-emerged from his hiding place in one of the rooms. Lucian looked at him now and then back at Eve.

“Please, don’t,” she whispered.

Please don’t give me to him was what she wanted to say but those two words were the only ones that came out. Lucian was her last hope. Maybe she could bat her eyelashes and use her feminine wiles to get him to help her. Did she have feminine wiles?

“Don’t let her run,” Franco warned.

She wanted to snort. Where would she go? She was barefoot and had no desire to have glass shoved under her skin. Escape or no escape. She never took her gaze off Lucian and she prayed he could see the pleading in her eyes. He raked a hand through his hair and snuck a glance at Franco, then Brice.

“Damn it.” He swore so only she could hear.

He turned back to Franco and fired off several shots at him then aimed the gun at Brice, firing more shots. The doctor disappeared from view again and, she supposed, Brice, too. Lucian wrapped an arm around her waist and hoisted her against his side. She picked up her feet to keep from stepping on shattered glass and wrapped them snuggly around his waist and, damn, didn’t that feel nice. He ran down the hallway toward a door but the alarms would bring more men toward the lab.

“Put your arms around my neck,” he said. “And don’t let go no matter what happens.”

She did as he commanded and buried her face against his neck, saw his pulse jumping at a rapid speed. Her heart matched it. He was taking her out of here. And maybe, just maybe, he could get her back home. She braved a peek and saw the door ahead still closed.

Lucian used the gun again to blast it but the door held fast.

“For fuck’s sake,” he grumbled.

“Stop them!”

Eve recognized Franco’s frenzied voice. Running footsteps behind them. And the door was still closed. Lucian came to a halt.

“End of the line, sweetheart.”

#TuesdayTeaser for Sept 24, 2013

September 24, 2013 By Michelle

ravishinghelene-300px

Today’s post is from my current WIP Ravishing Helene, the third book in the Guardians of Atlantis series! Coming soon!

Something inside her began to crumble, like window with a spider-web break that spreads slow and steady, cracking and creaking and coming apart. What he did to her just then shattered her, made her surrender. In that one instance when he slid inside her, pulled away and then slid back inside her again with a slow, deliberate thrust, she looked into those dark eyes of his…

…and melted. An intense spark of desire sparked there in the depths of his eyes. All the rage inside her died. All the depression dissipated. For the first time in a long while, everything was right in her world. Everything was perfect. His pace was unhurried, calculated, sensual.

Nothing else mattered around them. Not Franco. Not Otes. Not the guardians. Not the human women who were hidden in the lab. All that mattered was her and Raven in that moment.

She wrapped her legs around his waist as his hand slackened on her wrists. She wrapped her arms around him, her hands pressing into his big, muscular back and pulling him down to her. Their lips met but not in the ferocious kiss as before. This was not the cruel ravishment he’d done before. This was something heart-rendering tender. Something that would be forever burned in her mind. Something that she would never forget for the rest of her days.

He kissed her as though he whispered a secret with all the tenderness he possessed. His tongue traced the curve of her lips, tasted the tip of her tongue. It sent spirals of ecstasy through her, warming her, spinning out of control until she could no longer contain the emotion that she’d held back for so long. The dam had broken and the flood had come. A flood of tears.

Snippet Sunday for June 2, 2013

June 2, 2013 By Michelle

seducingeve-300px

This is release week for Seducing Eve, my hot paranormal romance that features sexy Atlantis guys. Here’s a little sexy snippet for you!

“I told you they wouldn’t stop looking for us,” he said.

She didn’t want to hear it. She pressed her fingertips against his lips to shush him. Her heart did a funny flip in her chest at the touch. She watched as his gaze landed on her lips for a long lingering moment. She couldn’t help it. She licked her lips.

She sat so close to him she could feel the jump of his heart. Her nipples hardened against the thin material of her bikini top. He pressed closer to her, aware of her reaction. Heat washed over her as her breasts brushed his chest. Her fingers slid from his lips to his face where she rested her palm along his roughened cheek.

“Are we safe here?” She whispered it as though speaking louder would conjure the men searching for them.

“For the moment. I killed them.” His gaze landed back on her lips.

He was torturing her.

“All of them?”

“Yes but there will be more.”

“How did you kill them?”

“I have mad skills.”

All she could think about was kissing him. Did he want to kiss her? Did it matter? She didn’t want to wait to find out. She pressed her body to his, her arms sliding around his neck, as she met his lips. Tenderly at first. Tentative. She was testing him to see if he’d play back.

When his hot mouth met hers it was with a voracious appetite as though he couldn’t wait to devour her. The kiss was as demanding as she imagined it would be coming from a man like him and she relished it. The pleasure of it sung through her veins. And then his tongue parted her lips with a soul-searching intensity. The heady sensation of it all sent her mind reeling. She couldn’t think clearly. She didn’t want to think clearly.

When he pulled away, it left a hollowness inside her.

“We can’t stay here,” he said.

“Why not?” She still whispered.

“Because we’re in the old incinerator. Where we used to burn trash…and other things.”

“Ew.”

He set her off his lap. She only spent a second on the floor before she jumped to her feet. She’d never felt so dirty in her life. She brushed away the dust—because she refused to believe it was anything else or she’d vomit—from her hands and picked up the flashlight.

Her bare feet, though, still touched the floor and she could feel crumbles of…something crush between her toes. It made her stomach sour.

“Lucian?”

“Yes?”

“I’m barefoot.”
