I had been hearing little scratchy toenails above me off and on for the last few weeks. I didn’t really think much of it becuase it went away. Then the last few days – I guess becuase it’s been so cold – it has been a permanent resident in the attic over my bedroom.
Great.
Last night when I got home from work, there was a lot of noise going on up there. I guess he was throwing his mousy Christmas party. He woke me up again at 3:30 am, much to my dismay. I had taken cold medicine in the hopes it would knock me out and I would feel much better today (I sort of did if a bit groggy). I stood on the bed and pounded on the wall until it went away but I’m going to Lowe’s sometime in the very near future to get something to take care of it. ThenI have to figure out where it got in and close up the hole.
When spring comes, I’m going to see about getting siding on that side of the house so I don’t have to worry about this anymore.
Today I feel a little better but I still feel tired. At least my nose isn’t stopped up. I’m hoping that doesn’t come back and I can skip the medicine today. It makes me feel too lethargic and I hate it. It’s better than suffering though.
Tomorrow is the Christmas party at school. The room mom called me last night to see if I was going to make it and I told her I would definitely be there. I just hope I have more energy than I do today. Eight days until Christmas! WOW.
Michelle, you need a cat! My cat loves to chase mice around, and then my husband ‘disposes’ of them and ruins her fun.
And have a great time at the school party!
That’s a great idea! Just let Sampson run around your attic! (Unless it’s just a crawlspace full of insulation–in that case DON’T!)
DeCon. Gets ’em every time. I am not for killing things, but when they carry Rhotovirus and invade my house, they’re DEAD. NO GUILT.
