Quote of the Day:
Remember that if the opportunities for great deeds should never come, the opportunities for good deeds are renewed day by day. The thing for us to long for is the goodness, not the glory.
– F.W. Faber
Yesterday I finished up the first twelve issues of the new Ransom & Fortune and sent them off to the editor. Season 1 is complete! Now on to Season 2 (even though I have no contract yet for Season 2 – hey I can plan ahead, right?). I divvied up the rest of the issues from the old KIC version of R&F and figured out I will have five seasons. Each issue is just over 2000 words but some could be longer as the story progresses and I find all my mistakes and fix them. Right now, Season 1 ends with Dane about to confront Skye in 13th Century Scotland. I think that’s a great ending point.
Are you intrigued yet?? You should be! 😆
Went for my weekly plotting party at Starbucks last night and had the Americano. Very strong coffee, that. Couldn’t get to sleep until well past 11. (However, I did manage to judge another entry. This one was in inspirational written in present tense first person. It was fantastic. I really liked it.) Anyway, it’s always so much fun to talk and toss ideas out and help each other. I have the beginnings of a dragon story I want to plot and get written. It’s the first in a trilogy I’m tentatively calling Curse of the Dragon. I’ve put aside One Knight Only for now because it’s going to need a lot of character work and I just don’t have the energy right now. I’ve decided I need to focus and pick one something and work on it, so the winner is the dragon story. Next I want to finish the rewrite on Magic Within and get it DONE and polished. And THEN it’s back to Nice Girls Do. Those are the three projects I want to finish and work on this year. That’s the goal anyway. None of it will happen if I don’t start writing again, though.
Going to meet my new insurance agent this afternoon – which also happens to be where Sysenlaw works. I’m looking forward to it since she made up a proposal and is doing a presentation to get my business. That’s so impressive to me.
I need to finish the chapter newsletter tonight and tomorrow. I also have a short story I’m polishing up that I want to send to Wild Child. So I’m trying to get myself back into the writing swing of things. It’s hard after neglecting it for so long.
In other news… CeCe’s blog is back with a new name and a new look! And she has some tremendous news! Pop on over and see what the ruckus is all about.
I’m always intrigued when it comes to Dane! 🙂 This is the second blog I’ve read today that mentions Starbucks. I think it’s a sign I should blow off work and go to Chapters, get a caramel macciato from Starbucks & peruse the shelves for hours! 🙂

Good for you, Mik! Sounds like you are starting to get on a roll again! And dragons will rock!
Leigh, sounds like a plan to me!
Ooh, I recently purchased the book “Dragonology” and the “Dragonology Handbook” from my Home Base (B&N) and they are AWESOME! I highly recommend them for Dragon research…
Sandy – I’ll meet you there. We’ll be each other’s alibis for missing work! “I swear! Sick as a dog! Disgusting, really. Not a pretty sight.” 😆
