There are a few things I’m looking forward to as the new year begins. I always forget about them until the clocks strikes midnight, I crash, and then wake up the next day.
My absolutely favorite thing to do on January 1 is watch the Tournament of Roses parade. I flip back and forth between the two channels that shows it. And of course, we eat black-eyed peas. Gotta get that luck.
This year I’m SUPER excited that it’s an Olympic year! A WINTER Olympic year, too! These are my favorite Olympics. LOVE LOVE LOVE them. You might think that, since I’m a girl, my favorite sport is skating. But NO! I adore the ski jump. You have to have some serious cajones to do that, right? I’m not afraid of heights but I think I’d be afraid of that because you’re only riding down a giant ramp on two sticks. I do like skating and I think those men and women are amazing athletes. They do all those jumps and turns on two blades and that just blows my mind. I’ve staked before but you know, that was mostly in a straight line. Or around a rink. Still, pretty much a straight line. I also like the bobsleigh, HOCKEY ad luge. Oh heck. I just love it all and I’m stoked for them to start. I’ve already downloaded the app. 😀
The only thing I most look forward to is the Academy Awards. It’s the only awards show I’ll watch and usually not from start to finish. I DO enjoy the beautiful gowns, though. Love seeing what all the ladies are wearing. I aspire to wear Christian Louboutins some day. 😉
This year, I’m really looking forward to summer. I hope by then I will have some super good news to share with you. It’s something that is in the planning stages and something that I’m striving to do. So cross your fingers, say a prayer and wish me luck. Oh and stay tuned to the blog! I’ll have news throughout the year.
Also this summer I’ll be at RWA San Antonio! I’m totally looking forward to that. I’ve missed the last two years so I’m excited to see all my writing friends and reconnect with them. Plus, it’s always so inspiring to come home from conference and get back to work. It’s a great mid-year boost to the creative writing well.
Two big releases in January and March are dominating my calendar. Both books I’m excited about–A Knight to Remember and A Knight Like No Other will hit e-store shelves in the next three months! WOO!
Those are just a few of the things I’m looking forward to in 2014. What about you? What are you looking forward to this year?
