Snow?

Yes, folks. There is SNOW on the ground here. Only about an inch or two. But still! Snow?! Guess I’ll be home for awhile. At least until it melts off a little, but it’s not supposed to get above freezing again today. This weather is making me CRAZY.

I don’t mind the cold, but I can’t stand when I can’t get anywhere. I have things to do.

The funny thing is – I didn’t even KNOW about the weather. Best Good Friend called and asked me if I was going to work. “Yeah, why?” She said, “Have you looked outside?”

I went to the front door, opened it, and was SHOCKED! And we were supposed to have lunch today. 👿 It’s a conspiracy to keep me from having first dinner on Saturday with my good friend and now lunch today with my Best Good Friend. GRR

Anyway…

Tuesday was one of those emotionally draining days. Just plain tiring. However, I got lots done at the Day Job, which always makes me happy.

Then I picked up Sweetie Boy. On the way home, he said, “Mom. Let’s go someplace with a drive through for dinner.”

I thought that sounded pretty good to me because that meant I didn’t have to cook. So we went to McDonald’s and he got the usual and so did I. And I was totally weak and got the 3 cookies for $1.00. :dead: I couldn’t help it. They just sounded SO good.

I only had one.

By the end of the night, I had one of those blinding headaches. You know, the kind where you just feel like your head is about to split into. It nearly sucked my will to live. I had intended to write on the laptop, but my head hurt so bad it was to the point I could no longer stare at a computer screen.

Probably because I had logged over 10 hours on the computer yesterday. Some at work and some at home.

It’s my chapter’s contest time again, you see. And I had a lot of work to do with it last night. Sweetie Boy sat in my lap and helped me send emails to all the entrants. He also helped me stamp the back of all the checks for deposit. He was so cute. He loves to do stuff like that. So I simply MUST get to the bank as soon as possible. I’m not too excited about having checks lying around the house.

Before Christmas, I had ordered myself a small trinket. It’s my name in script on a necklace. It came yesterday! I was very happy to see it in my mailbox. And then I got inside and realized I had forgotten to turn the heat down so it was almost the Towering Inferno inside.

There goes the electric bill again. *sigh*

Anyway – I did manage to get in about 500 words the night before. So – hey – that’s SOMETHING. Right? I will do better. Must do better.

I’m in terrible need of coffee… think I’ll go brew a cup!
