Song of the Day: The Mystic’s Dream by Loreena McKennitt
This weekend flew by! I can’t believe it’s Monday already.
:gaw:
The Christmas party on Saturday was wonderful. Lots of good food and delightful company. It was great to sit and chat with fellow members. I had two slices of cheesecake leftover and took them home to Husband – who agreed with the chapter. It was the best one yet. 😎 The new officers of the chapter was announced. I’m officially Treasurer. 😉
On Sunday, I got the tree up – sort of – and started decorating. But I ran out of holiday cheer and got it only about half done. It’s not naked, at least. And I forgot to get out the lighted wreaths for the front of the house, so I’ll have to do some search for those. I think they are still up in the attic somewhere. And I SO want some of those lighted reindeer for the front yard (I’m sorry, honey, but I do!).
This morning started earlier than usual – oh-damn-thirty. Had to take Husband to the airport in the frigid air – 29 degrees F here this morning. BRR. Supposed to get REALLY cold this week. Like 20s for the low and 30s-40s for the high. My skin is suffering from the cold weather too. The lotion I have doesn’t seem to be working, so I may need to invest in something else. I don’t know. I have very bad dry patches under my arms (was that TMI?).
In other news…
I signed my contract! It’s in the mail today to Samhain. I spoke with the editor via email this weekend and she gave me a great lead on a new place called Inara Press. I think I’m going to check them out as well and see about doing something for them.
I’m so very excited – and a little in shock still – about selling. And this is so stupid – but I can’t wait to see the cover art for the Talk Dirty To Me. :hehe: I have in my head what I want it to look like, but since I’m still green at this e-publishing stuff, I have no real idea how it works.
I have three deadlines this week at work, plus our annual holiday banquet on Friday afternoon. I guess I better get cracking.
:rockin: on your contract! Way to go you published author you!
