Major crash last night approaching the finish into Nancy! Holy cow, there was a huge pile up. It had been raining, and the pedestrian marks on the pavement became slippery. Going into a tight corner in town, the leader went down first, hit his head hard on the metal barricades. Looked bad. Lance made it through unscathed.
All riders will get the same time since the crash happened in the last 3 km of the race. Lance retained the Yellow Jersey with about a one second lead. Stage 7 will go into Germany and then the mountain stages begin on Sunday. Woohoo! Can’t wait for that.
