Song of the Day: How Sweet It Is by James Taylor
Okay. So it’s Monday again. The weekend just flew by. I managed to get almost all of my wrapping done except for Sweetie Boys. Most of his will have to be put together Christmas Eve from Santa. I started filling out Christmas cards and getting them ready for mailing. I’m still trying to get into the spirit of Christmas, but it seems to be lacking today for whatever reason. Maybe because I didn’t go “all out†on decorating the house. Maybe that’s the downer. I decided not to put up the miles of garland on the stair banisters or pull out all the decorations for every part of the house.
Or maybe I just haven’t found that Christmas spirit at all yet. My kid won’t sit on Santa’s lap (I think it’s a fear thing). He’d rather send him an email than sit on his lap and tell him what he wants. I guess it’s for the best. I’m not sure I want my child sitting on the lap of a potential pedophile anyway.
Anyhoo.. I was just browsing Amazon and noticed Sue Grafton’s “S is for Silence†is out and wondered.. what is she going to do when she gets to Z? Will she start over with AA? :hyper:
Sweetie Boy has an eye appointment this afternoon. I have this funny feeling they may be changing his prescription again. Which means I’m going to have to fork over another $200 for lenses. It’s a racket. But at least they aren’t talking surgery anymore, which is great. I’d rather just fork out the dough for the lenses than to have to see him go through surgery. That would kill me.
It’s going to be a somewhat busy week at the office. Three deadlines this week – two of them should be rather simple, and then one two days after Christmas. Why entities feel it necessary to have a proposal due two days after Christmas is beyond me.
And, here’s a shocker. As of this writing, Christmas is LESS than two weeks away. GACK!
On a side note: My contract was delivered on December 10 at 11:56 am!
:woohoo:
