We Got Rain!

Progress Update: 1578 words yesterday and I finished a chapter. YAY! Favorite line: She would have rather danced naked under the full moon.

So! Happy Friday! I’m so glad it’s finally here. Last night, as I was driving home, the sky looked very dark. Like rain dark. Just as the Man got home, it started to pour. And it poured and thundered and lightening for a good hour. Hooray for rain! We desperately needed it. My lawn is happen. My tree is happy. My herbs are really happy. The birds were even happy – they were singing like crazy after the rain stopped.

The lightening was so bad, though, we had to shut everything down and unplug everything. In fact, we had a brown out and that settled it for me. We turned off the TV and unplugged it – it’s brand new after all and we didn’t want it to get blown out by a power surge (even though it’s on a surge protector, I don’t trust them). Anyway, we got some good rain and it was great. I can’t say it cooled it off any. In fact, it was quite humid after but still. RAIN! YAY!

Today is cloudy again and we have a thirty percent chance. I would love to get more rain.

Tonight, the Man and I are going to hit Half Price Books for some major damage to the wallet. 😀 Then tomorrow I’m off to a chapter meeting and then I’m going to head out to visit my mom for the afternoon.

And then Sunday I plan to do a whole lot of nothing. Maybe finish reading my book. I’m currently reading Unholy Ghosts by Stacia Kane. Excellent book. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
