Progress bar:
Target Completion Date: October 1
I got a little off track on the paranormal these last couple of weeks mostly because I realized my hero had no real GMC. Oops. So I stalled out and had to go back to the drawing board to figure out what the heck to do with him. What’s really difficult is I’m telling two stories in two different timelines that actually converge somewhere in the middle, so getting all those little details right is crucial right up front. I don’t want to have to do major revision by the time I’m done. So I’m trying really hard to get it right so I can finish up this book.
You’ll see not much progress from the last update to this update. I’m okay with that. I’m letting the story percolate in the back of my head. In the meantime, I started something new and am about 10k in 🙂
Here’s a little snippet from the current paranormal WIP:
“You think to refuse me,” Cian said.
Fiona recognized that horrible tone of voice. It reminded her of the night he’d raped her. Her heart kicked into a fast beat as she pressed against the wall, hidden in the corner next to the wardrobe.
“Your Highness, please—”
But her words were cut off by a whimper.
“I take what I want, when I want.”
There was a rustle of material and the muffled voice of the girl and Fiona knew, without a doubt, what was happening. She had to do something. She couldn’t stand there and allow him to rape her, too. She glanced around, looking for a weapon but found nothing. If she was going to act, she had to act quickly.
