When the going gets tough, the tough take a coffee break.

So, I did it. Went to the gym last night and did a 30 minute workout. Not much, but better than nothing I guess. I’m planning on going back again on Wednesday. I’m thinking that if I can do a 30 minute workout during the week and then maybe swing by there on Saturday or Sunday, that will make all the difference in the world.
I do feel better today. A little tired as I stayed up late watching Home for the Holidays with Holly Hunter and Robert Downey, Jr. Funny movie. I love that scene where she’s sitting on Dylan McDermott’s lap and they’re making out. There’s just something about that scene that is so completely romantic and sexy. Great movie. It’s the epitome of dysfunctional families at the holidays.
Got issue 113 and 114 written of Ransom & Fortune. They are edited, but for some reason I’m hanging on to them for a little while. I’m going to try to write issues 115 and 116 today. Have this great idea for a new story arc following them into first century England around Stonehenge.
I also tinkered around with the WIP. Wrote about 1000 words. Not much, but it’s something.
Today I decided to wear something completely different. I pulled out of my closet a lime green cardigan with a satin shell and this gorgeous pale green and lime green skirt. First time I’ve worn a dress in… oh… two months or so. But I was getting sick of my pants. Anyway, this morning as I was getting my coffee, one of my (male) coworkers paused and said, “I must say – and I mean this with all due respect – that color looks fabulous on you.â€
Now imagine that with a Latin accent.
If I close my eyes, I can imagine this hunky, tan, tall man with wavy dark hair and dark brown eyes saying that. *purr* I’ve got to use that in a story somewhere.
I suppose he had to throw in that disclaimer, though, so he wouldn’t have a sexual harassment suit slap him in the face.
Anyhoo.. must get to it.
So WAS he hunky??
LOL.. Unfortunately, NO. He wasn’t. :plain:
I bet you looked great! We can pretend he was hunky. After all, we are storytellers…
WOOO HOOOO! You must have been looking sexy! Aren’t compliments great?
🙂
